IVF or In-Vitro Fertilization is a procedure in infertility treating when egg cells are fertilized with
spermatozoids outside of mother’s body. Emotional experience and the level of care are often higher in
parents with IVF pregnancy. Considering the fact that sometimes the cause of IVF is a maternal or
paternal chronic condition, these are additional default complications of such pregnancies.
However, pregnancy management does not differ significantly from the pregnancy conceited naturally.
If the pregnancy is a result of egg cell donation and spermatozoid donation, the pregnancy is
approached completely differently since this is the only way to secure healthy mother and fetus.
To simplify the understanding of this condition is the fact that the pregnancy originated by motivating
the hormonal influence, or with the donation the fact that maternal body now has, from the immune
and genetic aspect, the set of two ‘new’ segments, recognized by her body. It is desired for her body to
properly accept them, nourish them, so the fetus may comfortably grow and develop in maternal body.
Moreover, the signals that fetus sends to maternal body demand proper therapy in order to save the
mother’s body from additional burden that cannot be avoided due to two sets of new cells, to adapt and
adopt those signals as own. Thus, the connection between mother and fetus is established in utero,
physiological bonding and joined adaptation, giving the most beautiful results by delivering a healthy
baby and preserving maternal health.
